In December, the ship auction jointly organized by the Nanjing, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Wuhan Maritime Courts was successfully concluded. This collaborative initiative was designed to further deepen regional maritime judicial cooperation, efficiently resolve maritime disputes, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved.

Conducted via an online platform, the auction featured virtual inspection and remote bidding. This approach not only provided great convenience for bidders but also effectively reduced their transaction costs. The event garnered substantial attention, attracting a total of 129,150 views and 1,641 bids. Ultimately, all 27 listed vessels were successfully sold, achieving a total transaction value of RMB 84,086,720.

This successful auction represents a remarkable practice of regional maritime judicial cooperation. It has effectively facilitated the timely settlement of outstanding liabilities, including the wages owed to crew members by the person subject to enforcement, while accelerating the revitalization of seized ship assets and contributing to the stable and sound development of the shipping industrial chain.

Moving forward, the four maritime courts will further strengthen enforcement collaboration, continuously refine the mechanism for ship arrest and auction, and enhance the transparency and credibility of maritime judicial services, providing more robust judicial safeguards to support high-level opening-up and China's drive to build itself into a strong maritime nation.
