Nanjing Maritime Court and Shanghai Maritime University Held a Work Symposium

On December 12, a delegation led by Chu Beiping, President of Shanghai Maritime University, visited Nanjing Maritime Court for research and discussions. Li Yuming, President of Nanjing Maritime Court, was present, alongside officials from relevant departments of both institutions.
At the discussion, Chu Beiping highlighted the university’s progress in promoting and enforcing the newly revised Maritime Law, developing a maritime law-focused AI large model, and fostering foreign-related legal professionals. He emphasized the strong complementarity between the university’s academic strengths and the court’s judicial resources, noting huge potential for deeper collaboration in professional discipline development and judicial AI applications.
Li Yuming extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that through joint efforts, the two sides had secured fruitful cooperation outcomes since the start of the year. Looking forward, he called for targeted collaboration in frontier maritime law research, industry-academia-research base development, and foreign-related legal talent exchange, aiming to set a national benchmark for university-court cooperation in the maritime sector.
