Nanjing Maritime Court and Shanghai Maritime University Held a Symposium

On December 12, Chu Beiping, President of Shanghai Maritime University, led a delegation to Nanjing Maritime Court for a research visit and exchange, with a view to further advancing university-court collaboration and nurturing high-caliber foreign-related legal professionals. Li Yuming, President of Nanjing Maritime Court, attended the symposium.
During the discussion, Chu Beiping emphasized that Shanghai Maritime University enjoys distinctive strengths in academic research, while Nanjing Maritime Court possesses rich practical judicial experience and resources. The two sides are highly complementary, endowing their cooperation with enormous potential. He expressed the hope that the two sides would deepen cooperation in such fields as developing specialized courses, applying artificial intelligence in judicial practice, and recruiting outstanding graduates.
Li Yuming extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that thanks to joint efforts throughout the year, Shanghai Maritime University and Nanjing Maritime Court have already yielded a string of fruitful cooperation results. Looking ahead, he called for targeted collaboration in cutting-edge maritime law research, the building of industry-university-research bases, and the exchange of foreign-related legal professionals, so as to set a national example for university-court cooperation in the maritime sector.
