Nanjing Maritime Court Ruling Selected as a Typical Case for Foreign-related Commercial and Maritime Trial
To better leverage the exemplary and guiding role of judicial rulings, the Jiangsu High People's Court released a batch of typical cases concerning foreign-related commercial and maritime trials in November. Notably, a case adjudicated by the Nanjing Maritime Court was included.

Jiangsu's First Marine Ecological Damage Compensation Agreement Confirmed by the Nanjing Maritime Court
On November 25, 2025, the Nanjing Maritime Court issued a civil ruling to judicially confirm a marine ecological damage compensation agreement reached between the liable party and the marine environment supervision authority, with support from the procuratorate. This marks the first such case in Jiangsu Province.

Seminar on Integrated Maritime Litigation Services in the Yangtze River Delta Successfully Held in Nanjing
To take stock of the progress made in building an integrated mechanism for maritime litigation services in the Yangtze River Delta, a thematic seminar was held in Nanjing on November 21. The event brought together representatives from the Shanghai, Ningbo, Wuhan, and Nanjing Maritime Courts, including their vice presidents, heads of case filing tribunals, and key staff. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on major challenges currently facing the integrated mechanism and explored pathways to build a fairer, more efficient, and more convenient maritime judicial service system.

Nanjing Maritime Court and JiangSu International Freight Forwarders Association Conduct Joint Research Visit
On September 19, the Taizhou Tribunal of Nanjing Maritime Court and the JiangSu International Freight Forwarders Association (JIFFA) jointly visited relevant freight forwarding enterprises in Taizhou. The purpose of this visit was to enhance the standard of judicial services provided by dispatched tribunals and to assist freight forwarders in preventing and mitigating legal risks.

China Institute for Marine Affairs under the Ministry of Natural Resources Conducts Research on Maritime Rule of Law Development in Jiangsu Province
On July 29, Deputy Director Xu Heyun and the relevant officials of the Institute of Marine Development Strategy of Ministry of Natural Resources (hereinafter referred to as “Institute of Marine Development Strategy”), visited Nanjing to conduct a research on issues involving marine rule of law construction in Jiangsu. Li Yuming, President of Nanjing Maritime Court, and Li Yalin, Excecutive Vice President, among others, attended the symposium.
